The inspiration to paint this little native wildflower comes from my backyard where they are growing naturally. Their common name is Milkmaids. I don't know why, but I presume the early British settlers brought the name with them. They are actually Burchardia conjestas.
They attract the ants too, so I had to include one of them.
Western Australian native wildflowers can be small and dainty, but have intricate detail.
