How to Use Our Canva Promo Template
Never used Canva before? No problem. This guide walks you through creating a free account, adding your artwork, and downloading your finished promo image — step by step.
Create your free Canva account
Canva is a free design tool — you don't need any design experience to use it. Click the link below, then sign up using your email address or a Google account.
If you already have a Canva account, just log in as normal and skip ahead to Step 2.
Open the template
Once you're logged in, the link will open our promo template in the Canva editor. You'll see the design already laid out — you just need to add your artwork and details.
Upload a photo of your artwork
On the left-hand side of the screen, click Uploads, then Upload files. Choose a clear, well-lit photo of the artwork from your computer or phone.
Use the same photo you uploaded to your listing on TOAG — it's already the right shape and quality.
Drag your photo into the template
Click and hold your uploaded photo, then drag it directly onto the image placeholder in the template. Canva will automatically fit it into place.
If it doesn't look quite right, click on the image once it's placed and use the zoom slider that appears to adjust how it's framed.
Add your artwork title and name
Click on each text box in the template and type over the existing placeholder text with your artwork's title and your artist name.
Double-check spelling before moving on — it's much easier to fix now than after downloading.
Download your finished design
In the top right corner, click Share, then Download. Choose PNG as the file type, then click Download again. Your finished image will save to your device.
