Where the Tide Rests

Inspired by recent visits to the New South Wales North Coast, this painting celebrates the tranquil beauty of a sheltered estuary where land, water, and sky meet in quiet harmony. Boats rest peacefully on the calm water as changing light dances across the landscape. Using expressive brushstrokes and palette knife textures, I sought to capture not only the character of the place but also the sense of stillness and renewal it offers. The work reflects my enduring fascination with Australia’s coastal landscapes and the restorative power of nature.
