Wetlands - Cherish

I’ve always been drawn to the quiet beauty of wetlands and the way water, grasses, reeds and open sky come together to create a landscape that feels both wild and serene. In this work 'Wetlands - cherish' I’ve tried to capture a sense of place through loose, expressive brushstrokes and layers of earthy greens, soft blues and flashes of vibrant yellow. The small birds scattered across the water and the distant marks along the horizon bring a wonderful sense of movement and life to the scene.

I love allowing the landscape to emerge through intuitive marks rather than defining every detail. The gestural white and grey strokes suggest reflections, reeds and shifting light, while the vivid bursts of colour draw the eye through the water and across the land. For me, this painting is about that fleeting moment when everything feels alive with the movement of birds, the shimmer of water and the warmth of sunlight across the wetlands.

The canvas is an original piece and comes with d rings and wire ready to hang. The piece is UNFRAMED. Sides are painted in a crisp white to set off the artwork. The work is created in acrylic paint. All work has been sealed and varnished for protection
