This series grew from my love of old, weathered walls in Italy, especially the faded, crumbling beauty of Venice. I’m drawn to surfaces that have lived — walls that have soaked up the years, carrying layers of rust, paint, salt, and stories. There’s a kind of quiet dignity in the way time leaves its mark, Think Wabi-Sabi.
Through these pieces, I try to honour that natural aging, that slow building of character over years of being exposed to the elements. It’s not about perfection. It’s about resilience, memory, and the hidden beauty that only surfaces after a lifetime of weather and wear.
