Unfurling Abstract Flower

Unfurling explores the flower as something felt rather than simply observed.

Soft layers of lilac and violet appear to fold, open and drift through space, surrounding a fluid, metallic centre that gives the work a sense of movement and unexpected depth. The bloom seems almost suspended, caught in the moment between opening and becoming.

Rather than depicting a specific flower, the work reduces the idea of a bloom to colour, form, movement and atmosphere. The result is an abstract floral composition that invites the viewer to see something familiar while leaving room for their own interpretation.

Unfurling is part of a new direction in my abstract practice, exploring flowers through an expressive and contemporary digital painting process.
