This artwork was inspired by my sister's spectacular white Bat Flower growing happily in a pot on her terrace. I also discovered it in the Botanic Garden Sydney. The creamy white or purple bracts resemble a bat in mid-flight and the many bracteoles swing gracefully down like vines in the jungle. A most unusual and rare subtropical plant which can grow successfully in a pot in the right conditions. I have also painted the black Bat Flower which I will upload shortly. My sister grows both. This artwork looks dramatic placed in the right spot and does not really need a frame.Â
Painted in professional acrylic paints, varnished with two coats and has a wire on back ready to hang. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
