We came across this viaduct at Malmsbury when we first moved to the Central Highlands of Victoria several years ago. The viaduct was constructed between 1858 and 1861 to carry the rail line from Bendigo to Melbourne across the Coliban River.
This beautiful viaduct with its graceful arches captured my imagination and is a real tribute to the engineers and builders of the gold rush era. This painting is professionally framed in Tasmanian oak.
