This painting was inspired by my visit to the ancient Teahouse and Koi Garden in Shanghai. Koi, and fish in general, are one of my favourite subjects.This painting is unique in that it is an Original Watercolour painted directly on to canvas. This requires special techniques and canvas preparation. The watercolours allow a lovely translucency not possible with acrylic on canvas. READY TO HANG
