The coastline, heavy with the aftermath of a storm, is a metaphor for emotional overwhelm; restless, chaotic, and all-consuming. Yet within this intensity lies a deeper truth...

The rocks do not resist the waves - they endure them. The water does not fight its nature - it moves, breaks, and recedes.

In this exchange, there is no defeat. Only acceptance.

This emotive artwork reflects the courage it takes to acknowledge struggle rather than suppress it.  To surrender not as an act of giving up, but as an act of trust. Trusting that by facing the storm, we allow darkness to pass over, and light to re-emerge.

Created with palette knives on 360 gsm stretched polycotton canvas, this dramatic beachscape is framed in a solid oak timber frame and comes satin varnished. It will also come with a COA with the above artist statement handwritten on the back.
