Mixed media beer can painting.

Inspired by this tasty wheat ale. From a distance this piece is a simple beer can, but up close the collaged elements display abstract textures and shapes.

The collage pieces have been harvested from discarded kids books, brochures, magazines, old screen prints I've created and junk mail. The background is primarily paint over the top of the collaged areas, muting the patterns but still allowing some elements to push through. The can is made entirely from recycled paper collage.

The piece is on stretched canvas frame. It has a wire at the back and is ready to hang. 2 coats of gloss varnish will be applied to protect the artwork and the gloss finish gives the piece a glassy finish.

The edges are decorated so it is ready for your wall.
