A quiet moment of Stargazing on the banks of the Coongan River, Marble Bar. The lower half has rich ochres, rusts and earth tones that suggest the ancient Pilbara ground. A deep band of teal and indigo at the base suggests a portion of the river that has pooled. The painting carries a sense of solitude and awe which is what I felt lying back on the river bank.
