The common seagull or silver gull is iconic to a visit at the beach. Hordes come to visit when we enjoy some chips on the dunes. Their population has exploded since the 1950's with the increase in human waste offering increased food availability in the form of refuse. They breed on offshore islands which is causing problems for other seabirds. Given all that I still love to see them when I visit the beach! What better way to bring memories of the beach into your home!
