This artwork was painted on an acrylic pallet on a stretched canvas of 50cm by 50 cm with a depth of 1,5 cm on a acrylic canvas and a protective coat of (gloss) varnish has been applied to seal the acrylic paints and ensure the work stays looking its best for a life time 

Two black birds are perched on the branches of the trees , adding to the moody, melancholic atmosphere. The scene is characterised by cool blues and white in the sky and hills , contrasting with deep browns  , earthy tones and grey in the rocks , creating a moody ,dramatic scene .The roots of the trees cascade below,  looking for water well below the earths surface
