Rise and Shine

I have always been drawn to traditional and classical art styles, and when I did a Life Drawing workshop with a nude model, I knew what I wanted to master.  The human form is the ultimate in beauty and desgn, and the greatest challenge for an artist to capture on canvas.  Colours are also important to me, and I enjoy using new combinations of harmonious colours in each painting while expressing a certain mood.  This one has a fresh pale turquoise background to express the freshness of the early morning when rising from bed.
