This piece is inspired by one of the many eucalypt species in our landscape. Red Gums feature in Ku-ring-gai National Park in northern Sydney, my reference for this gnarly tree reaching this way and that. Painted in acrylic and sealed for added protection, the stretched canvas, 5cm deep, is set off in a timber box frame.
