This is my abstract depiction of a brilliant sunset over this stunning well-known Tasmanian landmark.
It is no wonder adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts flock to this UNESCO listed World Heritage site from all over the world, to take in the breathtaking beauty of same.
I have tried to capture the vibrant colours and dramatic lighting that a sunset of this magnitude would yield. The warm hues of orange and yellow display a stark contrast to the purple mountain range with its jagged dolerite peaks.
The lakes, created by the melting glaciers of the past, add further depth and allure to the painting. Their serene waters reflect the vivid colours of the sunset, amplifying the scene's tranquil beauty.
