Mente desconcertada numero uno (Mind Boggled) is part of a series of artworks and was created during my time living in Granada, Spain, where I was immersed in a city rich with history, color, music, and movement. The beauty of the Alhambra, the passion of flamenco, and the vibrant spirit of Andalusian life inspired a flood of sensory and emotional impressions. At the same time, I remained deeply aware of events unfolding around the world and the uncertainties they brought. The fragmented forms, layered imagery, and expressive lines throughout this series reflect a mind processing multiple realities at once—wonder and concern, presence and reflection, personal experience and collective consciousness. Through these works, I explore how our inner worlds are shaped by both the places we inhabit and the wider world beyond them.

As the first painting in the series, this work captures my initial response to Granada's beauty and complexity. Surrounded by centuries of history, vibrant culture, and artistic energy, I felt both inspired and overwhelmed. The layered imagery reflects the beginning of a journey into the relationship between place, perception, and the restless movement of the mind.
