Man in the Sky

I have always been drawn to traditional and classical art styles, and when I did a Life Drawing workshop with a nude model, I knew what I wanted to master.

The human form is the ultimate in beauty and design, and the greatest challenge for an artist to capture on canvas.  Colours are also important to me, and I enjoy using new combinations of harmonious colours in each painting while also expressing a mood.  This painting features details of muscle tone and veins in the arms, exuding masculinity which is balanced by the plain light blue background.
