Magenta

I have always been drawn to traditional and classical art styles, and when I did a Life Drawing workshop with a nude model, I knew what I wanted to master.  The human form is the ultimate in beauty and design, and the greatest challenge for an artist to capture on canvas.  Colours are also important to me, and I enjoy using new combinations of harmonious colours in each painting while also expressing a certain mood.  This painting has a background of deep, rich magenta, and the body is also painted in shades of magenta and pink, expressing luxury and elegance.
