Lavender flowers are often associated with purity, grace and calmness. It’s colour, among other things, is often associated with elegance, creativity and emotional expression. Besides having a divine smell and colour, I find lavender helps to lift my spirits and calm my soul.
This painting was inspired by the copious amounts of lavender blooming in our garden. It’s lovely to hear the bees busily gathering pollen and smelling that distinct perfume. You can hear the gentle breeze dancing through the lavender heads, and see them moving in graceful harmony.
Lavender has so many healthy and healing benefits. For me, lavender is a winner with reducing stress and anxiety.
