For me, old corrugated iron buildings have so much character to them. I love the challenge of depicting the wear and tear and making them come to life on paper. The reference photo for this painting was provided by Yvie Checketts and it was taken in Central Otago, New Zealand. I enjoyed adding the story to the building and setting it on a cattle farm. I feel that it could just as easily be found in outback Australia.
Painted using professional standard watercolour paints on artist quality watercolour paper, 100% cotton, 300 gsm.
