Crossing Into Calm

Crossing into Calm was inspired by my enduring love of Japanese culture — a reverence that flows through much of my work, particularly within my Geishas and Dragons Series. I am deeply drawn to the elegance, symbolism, and quiet power found in Japanese form, where beauty exists through balance, intention, and restraint.

Japanese gardens hold a special place in my heart. Their sense of symmetry and harmony creates spaces that feel both grounding and expansive. Every element has meaning — stone, bridge, bamboo, water — each placed with care, creating a dialogue between nature and spirit.
