Painted in oils on canvas, Cloud Watching combines expressive brushwork with soft transitions and touches of textured paint to evoke the quiet, dreamy feeling of childhood. The impressionistic approach leaves room for the viewer’s own memories and imagination.
Inspired by the childhood pleasure of finding animals, faces and unexpected shapes in passing clouds, this work celebrates moments when there is nothing to do but look up and wonder. Part of my Before Tomorrow series, it invites us to slow down and remember how an ordinary sky could hold a whole world of stories.
