Chasing Blue

Chasing Blue is an abstract landscape creation where I explored using layers of marks and different textures to form rolling hills, valleys, pathways and wild flora that gently move in a rhythm, weaving and unfolding across the canvas. Lately I have been taking notice and stopping for a moment to look out from my elevated front porch and have been inspired by the afternoon skies that reach across the horizon, with a colour so blue it echoes across the landscape and clouds so soft that they drift me along in a daydream. For this artwork I wanted to celebrate the colour blue to bring a sense of calm and harmony amongst the earthy coloured palette inspired by the Australian landscape. 

This artwork consists of professional quality cotton canvas that is varnished for protection, the sides are painted in a soft blue colour, signature is on the front and back and a certificate of authenticity is included.
