My vintage style carousel horse is a hand coloured etching inpired by my years of working on Carousels (or merry go rounds) at Grundy’s and Magic Mountain on the Gold Coast. Sadly these two iconic entertainment areas no longer exist and the carousels are long gonem but the fun memoires live on.
I tried to capture the almost blurred moment of these stunning horses as they bob up and down as well as move forwards as the carousel rotates with intricately painted desings and its catchy tunes. I hope it brings joy and nostalgia of days gone by.
