Birds on the Lake at Sunrise original art

I love painting Australian birds and lakes and this painting of native birds at sunrise enables me to combine my love of the two. For me, the perfect early morning walk is to go down to the lake and watch the birdlife. The rising sun casts beautiful colours of pink and yellow on the lake and my intention was to capture the colour of the sunrise as the sun peeps up from the bushes on the other side of the lake.  It is the movement and the colours of the sun rising on the water which has captured my imagination in painting this.
