This painting was inspired by a breathtaking drone shot near a local winery in Ferguson Valley. Initially I aimed to reproduce the image faithfully on canvas. However the painting quickly took on a a life of its own, leading me in a different direction. As I worked, a soaring bird emerged, drifting over a softly textured landscape. Much like the bird, I found myself navigating the creative process without full control. This unexpected inspiration led to a series of aerial paintins, capturing the essence of that singular, awe inspiring moment.
