Aurora’s ghost

Inspired by Aurora, the Roman goddess of the dawn, Aurora’s Ghost captures the fleeting moment where night dissolves into morning light.

A luminous female figure emerges within a cascading field of blues, violets and scattered blossoms. The body is partially defined, partially dissolving into colour, creating a sense that the figure exists between the physical and the ethereal. She moves through the painting like a memory or spirit — present yet untouchable.

The vertical streams of colour evoke falling petals or morning dew, suggesting renewal, transformation and the quiet beauty of fleeting moments. The figure becomes both part of the landscape and its silent witness, embodying the gentle arrival of a new day.

This work continues Tea Ercoles’ exploration of the female form within immersive colour fields, where emotion, mythology and atmosphere merge into a dreamlike visual experience.
