There is something almost miraculous about light passing through fruit. For a brief moment, the grapes seemed to become little lanterns, their skins revealing colours and life hidden beneath the surface. Rather than simply painting grapes, I found myself painting light itself—its softness, warmth and ability to transform the everyday.
This painting is part of my Vegruit series, inspired by the humble beauty of fruit and vegetables seen through a different lens.
