Zebra alert

Original Charcoal Sketch of “ Alert Zebra “by Moira Briel  

This original work was sketched in charcoal on a 42.50cm by 38cm strong fabriano art paper. A fixative spray has been applied to the charcoal pencil to prevent smudging and to ensure the work stays looking its best. 

Zebras are a popular subject to paint as they blend in with any decor. A typical wildlife animal of Africa . I used charcoal pencils on the stripes and a white charcoal pencil for hi - lighting , which gave it a lovely shine on the strong Fabriano paper. Zebra are captivating animals with their black and white stripes and colourful manes , they normally hang out in groups and are very alert, watching out for any lion in the area
