Willy wagtails have a special meaning for some people as they have noticed that when a loved one dies a willy wagtail will often come to visit them, representative of their loved one, to indicate that their loved one is still around. This has been mentioned in both the white and Aboriginal cultures. I love painting these dear little birds and they are very special to me. They are also one of my most popular subjects to sell.
