I used a Contemporary Post Impressionist style to approach this photo I took in the Japanese gardens in Toowoomba. I have used non realistic colours in the Fauvism style to evoke emotion and a sense of light rather than purely matching reality. I have flattened the shapes into blocks of colour to make a mosaic pattern but still maintain the appearance of a landscape. The sunlight is filtering through the trees and is reflected in the patterns that are under the water in the creek.
