Wetlands - Lush

I love the lush, vibrant feel of this painting as it makes me think of wetlands bursting with life! The gorgeous, fresh greens really draw me in, while the earthy browns and rusty reds along the horizon hint at tangled grasses, reeds and all the little things growing and moving in this beautiful landscape. I’ve enjoyed playing with colour and loose, expressive brushstrokes to capture that wild, slightly untamed feeling of nature. There’s a real sense of sunshine, growth and energy here, and I love how the colours seem to dance across the canvas.

The little white birds add a lovely touch of movement and fun, flitting across the landscape and bringing the whole scene to life. I’ve let the marks and shapes flow quite freely, allowing the painting to develop in its own way rather than trying to capture every detail. For me, it’s all about the joy of being out in nature and noticing the colours, textures and little surprises that make wetlands so special. It’s a lively, happy celebration of the natural world and is a place that feels full of life, colour and possibility.

The canvas is an original piece and comes with d rings and wire ready to hang. The piece is UNFRAMED. Sides are painted in a crisp white to set off the artwork. The work is created in acrylic paint. All work has been sealed and varnished for protection
