In this painting from a photo taken during our last trip to Thailand, two Yucca plants stand proudly in their pots, their sharp green fronds contrasting with the soft, weathered texture of the building behind them. Set against the faded brick and plaster wall of a colonial-era structure in Chanthaburi, Thailand, the scene captures the quiet beauty of this historic town. Known for its French colonial charm, Chanthaburi's rich cultural tapestry is reflected in this moment of stillness, where nature and history exist in perfect harmony. I loved doing most of this painting with a palette knife, giving it even more of a rustic charm.
Oil painting on stretched canvas. Premium 420 gm cotton duck attached to a quality pine stretcher frame and includes gallery style folded corners. Canvas edges are 3 cm thick.
