Universal Contours

This work (100 x 100 cm) is created using acrylic, acrylic ink, and mixed media.

As an intuitive artist, I never know the direction that a painting will take, but I trust that as I hold my interests and intentions in my consciousness then the process of my painting will lead me. This is part of the magic of creativity that I adore.

In this piece, that trust was central. Rather than imposing structure, I allowed my intentions to guide the emergence of form. This enabled me to abstract my points of interest without forcing resolution. The result is a layered visual language that moves between control and release.

I share here my interpretation of the deep connection within the whole universe and the elements that continue to hold my attention. Within the abstraction are references to the contours of the earth, the internal energy of magma, the diffusion of gases in space, and the presence of animals and trees that sustain life on our planet.

The flowing linear work suggests mapping and movement, echoing topographical lines, energetic pathways, and unseen systems that connect all living and non-living matter. Areas of intensity and disruption sit beside softer, atmospheric passages, reflecting both the volatility and balance within natural systems.

This painting is not a fixed narrative. It is an open field of relationships, where material, gesture, and intention converge. The work invites the viewer to locate their own meaning within these layered connections, just as the process invited me to discover rather than define.
