Under The Microscope

Painted just prior to my Modernist series, this painting set me on that course. And, it fits. So these bold colours and fun shapes will brighten any room or wall. I love playing around with these off-beat shapes and colours that are inspired by 50's and 60's architecture and art. The carefully hand painted shapes are highlighted with carefree drips of paint to add some unpredictability. It would have been such an exciting time to be creating new ideas. The freedom to design whatever your mind can come up with has helped me break out from the norm, and avoid the mainstream. These might not suit the beige, cream, off-white styles that I see in most interiors, but they will definitely make an impact. Lots of fun, and most importantly....lots of colour!
