Painted upon my return from another trip to the red centre recently. We watched in awe as the rising dawn sun spread its warmth on Uluru, on us and on the surrounding native flora.
What a joy it is to be surrounded by the fragrant eucalyptus and desert oak trees, feeling a deep connection to nature. So inspiring. There's no colour exaggeration in this artwork - they really are this vibrant. The whole landscape literally glows with golden light, coming to life before your eyes as the sun rises.
Through expressive use of colour, loose movement and texture I've aimed to express the feeling of this awesome place and moment in time.
