My influences for this quiet pastel coloured leaf painting were all the bush walks and footpaths around home which lead me to see such a variety of leaves in all shapes and sizes that are so fascinating in their endless variety. They litter the pathways and bush floor and shout out in all their colours. You know this is a common theme for me but I’ve taken it right back to the essential elements of the leaves and chosen to celebrate them in a simple impressionistic way. This is a light filled happy piece of art that says Australia to me and I hope it echoes with you too.
