The Search for Meaning

This painting explores how viewers often search for meaning when confronted with abstraction in an attempt to “make sense” of the work.  By combining colour fields with both asemic and conventional writing this artwork plays with the question of whether art must represent, explain or communicate something clearly, or whether it can be accepted for itself.  Rather than offering a definitive narrative, it invites engagement through mood, feeling, and chromatic experience, suggesting that significance can emerge through perception rather than depiction.

The artwork is framed in Tasmanian oak and is ready to hang.  The artist's name is subtly on the front, it is signed and stamped on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
