The world as we now see it is so radically different to my childhood.  The innocence that predominated our life gave all middle-class people comfort and certainty.

One of the major reasons that we have seen a major decline in the fortunes of the "average" person has been significantly caused by the news media, which has ceased to report real news, and instead focused on things that will bring them increased power and wealth.
