Although I live in the inner city, I still have access to nature walks. My painting is from a section of the River Torrens Linear Park, which is part of a 92km network of walking/cycling paths. The trail follows the Torrens River from Athelstone in the Adelaide Hills, through to Adelaide CBD, and to the river mouth at West Beach/Henley Beach. The trail is lined with River Red Gums, willows and reed beds, and is an easily accessible oasis in the city and suburbs. I plan to walk small sections at a time, as inspiration for my painting.
