Jo Ski's dreamlike, abstract landscapes blue the line between the tangible and ethereal. There is a pulsating electricity that emanates from the organic, liquid states of fusion below. They take you into a shared space between the human form and the natural landscapes from which we are nurtured. When you arrive, you are welcomed to sit in the dynamic interplay between the precise systems or marking and the enveloping buzz of the electricity that consumes you in an ever-growing luminosity. Jo Ski's paintings develop a distinctive language of abstraction that somehow managed to straddle the line between a calming, grounded experience and an intense invigoration, allowing you to find those enlightening moments of one within the other.
Jo Ski works according to a very intentional, patient output, preferring to focus on the craftsmanship and the special moments that naturally arise during the process of creation for each work. As a result, 'Raka Sekku' is Jo Ski's only offering for the third quarter of 2026 and may likely be the last for the year. As you can imagine a work of this calibre and rarity will not last long.
