Pastel Rainbow Rabbit

This is one of my bootiful bunnies! The obsession with rabbits came from having 2 fabulous lop eared buns that were full of character and cheekiness. For this cutie I used the very last of a very limited amount of pastel Rainbow coloured vintage wire.

This wire has it's own story.....I went to a garage sale in Carlingford (NSW) years ago and in the back shed were stacks of vintage coloured PVC coated wire. They had had an importing business and this cool wire had been brought in from Germany to be used mainly in Floristry.WELL! I went off on a whole other tangent of creative ideas and purchased the lot :) 

So out of that has been a collection of bunnies over the years from pastel to pink, yellow to blue and more. This one is based on our last buns favourite position BUT I have used artistic licence to pop his ears up whilst in this position....he may have heard dandelions being picked!

These wire sculptures are lightweight and fairly robust. Also I have had some outside for many years and the PVC coating seems to hold its colour well.

Please note the depth measurement is from tip of ear to tip of ear, with the body being approx 9 cm wide. Weight 152 gms.
