Built through successive layers of darkened glazes and softened ember tones, Furnace Bloom explores transformation through heat, pressure, and erosion. Organic forms emerge slowly from the surface, hovering somewhere between smoke, mineral, and biological growth without resolving into a fixed image.

Part of AlchemY’s ongoing exploration of “induced weather,” the work reflects his interest in paintings that feel discovered rather than constructed — atmospheric fields shaped through accumulation, concealment, and release.
