Parrots are a favourite subject matter and I was instantly attracted to this photo because of the symmetry and the strong delineation in the bright colours of the Rainbow Lorikeets and the detail in the grey tree trunk. The brilliant colours are always a drawcard for me but that they look like they are poised to execute a perfect dive off the tree is an added element.
