Peacock Village is a joyful celebration of imagination, colour, and storytelling.

Inspired by a peacock I encountered during a morning cycling trip through a local park, this artwork began with a simple photograph taken as the bird stood glowing in the sunlight. That fleeting moment became the spark for a much larger creative journey.

As the painting evolved, the peacock became the heart of a whimsical travelling village filled with tiny adventurers, colourful rooftops, and winding pathways. The scene reflects my ongoing fascination with villages as symbols of community, connection, and shared experience, themes that often appear throughout my floating towns and miniature worlds.

Soft pink and purple clouds drift across a dreamy blue sky, while cool blue tones surround the village nestled behind the peacock. Together, these colours create a peaceful and uplifting atmosphere that complements the bird's graceful presence and quietly determined expression.
