My artwork “Parrot Tulips” was inspired by a photo by fellow artist Jillian Crider. I was always fascinated by the tulip’s puffy and expanded curly form and how the petals resemble the feathers on a parrot and parrots tend to have bright exotic colors. Parrot tulips, just like other tulips, grow two or three bluish green leaves that are clustered together at the base of the plant.
Painted in acrylic paints on gallery-stretched canvas with wire on the back ready to hang. Varnished with two coats to protect the art. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
