Ochre rush

From a trickle through the moss and ruts of an ancient volanco, a creek tumbles out into the sun - swaying between warm rock and mineral glitter. Large loose brushwork and water wash keep this piece lively and organic. Just as in the mineral-rich turquoise waters of the actual river, the splashes of turquoise were a thrilling accent to the ochre tones and darkest olive and grey. Inspired by the seven waterfalls of Kawazu, on Japan's Izu Peninsula.

This is an original oil painting on unstretched linen. It is a flat fabric item which will require framing to hang, but shipping is far more eco-friendly, more protected, inexpensive and easy to handle. Each unstretched painting is lovingly protected with tissue paper, carefully rolled and shipped in a mailing tube. You will also receive a hand-signed certificate of authenticity.
