NECKLACE AND EARRING SET - "DESERT MESA"

A wonderfully "earth" inspired design.  The feature is a distinct and absolutely gorgeous semi precious Picture Jasper.  The moment I saw this cabochon, I just knew what I was going to make of it.  The image is natural and reminds me of the rising cliff face found in Mesa country in the outback.  The forground has dark grey images which look a lot like spindkly bushes that have baked in the Australian outback heat.  I also included some Golden Sandstone and garnet, along with an elliptical faux Turquoise focal at the top of the larger cabochon.  Czechoslovakian Superduo beads have been used in my distinctly individualistic manner.  There are also tiny Czechoslovakian beads incorporating everything into a bead woven finish to capture this cabochon for ever.

The necklace arms include Turquoise, Golden Sandstone, Picture Jasper, Leopard Skin Jasper and garnet.  All very earthy and elemental which is the look I was trying to capture.  The earrings are faux Turquoise and Leopard Skin Jasper.  The cabochon backing is soft black Ultrasuede I import at $200 per metre - worth every cent in terms of a quality finish which is a hallmark of my work.

I have added an easy to use antique bronze toned toggle clasp.  The backing is imported soft black Ultrasuede.  The earrings are two sizes in sparkly Golden Sandstone.
I carefully selected all the colour combinations for this unique set to ensure harmony.  

DIMENSIONS:

NECKLACE ARMS:  Approximately 24 centimetres.  Overall necklace span of approximately 51.5 centimetres.

PENDANT:  Approximately 10 centimetres down, excluding the woven bail and approximately 6 centimetres across. 

EARRINGS:  Approximately 4 centimetres.
